Research and development

For more than 20 years, Biologisk Myggkontroll has studied abundance and diversity of mosquitoes as well as non-target insects through sampling and identification. This has provided important data which allows us to better understand insect biology and ecology, including but not limited to our focus on mosquitoes. General information can be found herein at the mosquito surveillance and the non-target organism programme pages. This vast amount of data has generated it’s own publications while continuing to inspire new research questions that we develop in collaboration with Uppsala university and others. The results will be available for the public via our webpage and we also intend to continue publishing in scientific journals.

If you have questions about our research, please contact Jenny Hesson, responsible for research within Biologisk Myggkontroll. For questions about development, contact Martina Schäfer, mosquito control manager with GIS-responsibility.
